Hi everyone! It's my morning off and I'm HAPPY!!!!!
I actually only have a few minutes to post before I leave for campus, but I wanted to say THANK YOU so much for your prayers this last week. The Lord has been moving; I'm not near a decision yet, but He is opening doors that will bring me closer. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your support and love - I've been praying for your prayer requests, and will continue to do so! :-)
My lack of posting is really not due to the seriousness of my life crisis; it's really just because ... I don't have much of anything to post about. I'm finally getting settled into this semester's classes, some of which are awful and some of which are so awesome that I can't even begin to describe them - highlights so far have included a nationally renowned guest speaker, reading absolutely terrifying stories in Spanish in the middle of the night, acing phonetics quizzes, and somehow managing to avoid the flu so far. I've also been able to see my family a lot more during the day this semester, which is really nice.
I finally got my brown Converse shoes ... I don't have time to post pictures of them right now, and they really just look like shoes anyway; but the boost to my geeky-sassy attitude has been re.mark.a.ble. :-)
I'm continuing to fervently pray and desperately hang onto my resolve to seek God's face at the expense of all else. This hunger, this desire, I don't want it to go away or slacken in any way until I know God for Who He is. I'm ready to "grow up" into the next level of faith, even if it's scary or mysterious or painful. I want to be a friend of God, a woman after His own heart.
And finally, I've had a couple of lightning-bolt inspirations for stories during these past few weeks ... hopefully I can get around to writing them!!
I promise I'll post something more substantive soon ... I hope you've all had a lovely week and are preparing for a fabulous weekend!!
Love and hugs,
Vicki
I'm so glad to hear that God has been moving!!
ReplyDeleteReading Spanish stories in the middle of the night? Sounds fun, actually! But, why were they terrifying?
I'll keep praying for you. Hang in there and take care!
Hi Vicki! :) what did the guest speaker talk about? I've been feeling the same way lately about "wanting to be a friend of God, a woman after His own heart." I've never seen brown converse before. I'm glad they make you feel " remarkable!' :)
