Snapshots of My Life II (+ Tidbits)

Hey everyone! I hope you're all having a wonderful Monday! It's absolutely FRIGID here in my part of the Midwest, but I am inside and toasty warm, enjoying my day off for MLK Jr. Day!

I hunted up my poor neglected camera and snapped a few pictures this morning, and added on a few others that I've been meaning to post but been too lazy ... so here are a few shots of what I've been up to lately - just a few, nothing spectacular:

***

Firstly, of course, my shoes. Aren't they fun? Don't those laces look just like chocolate ice cream?? I feel like I could take on a BBC television show when I wear them ...

Here is the hat that I'm working on right now ... it's super-stretchy, and will hopefully be super-warm when I head back to campus! The yarn I'm using is Lion Brand Wool-Ease, which has just enough wool in it to be warm, but not enough to set off my wool allergy. I'm planning to stage a knit-a-thon this afternoon and get it finished before class tomorrow.

Heather is being very industrious today and baking cookies to freeze for later - YUMMMMM. I wish y'all could come over this afternoon and taste how good they are!!

Speaking of Heather, this is a picture of her very handsome Robo Dwarf Hamster, Sandy. Sorry to disturb your sleep, there, good sir.

"Did you say something to me?"

And my delightful phonetics homework, which I should be doing right now ...

I would also like to take a moment to mention that today is the very first day of the "200 Years of Pride and Prejudice Blog Celebration" over at Elegance of Fashion - Miss Elizabeth Bennet just this morning posted up a trivia game that I can't wait to try out!

I hope you all have a wonderful Monday, and that the rest of your week goes swimmingly!!

Lots of love,
Vicki

  2. It is FREEZING where I am...that point in the year when I tell anyone who will listen that I'm moving to Texas. :P I just about froze my fingers off putting quarters in a parking meter today - it was definitely too cold a day to walk to school.

And now I'm hungry for chocolate ice-cream... ;) Don't you love how certain things make all the difference in the world when you put them on? XD

Okay, and now I'm STARVING for chocolate chip cookies. If I actually get some homework done tomorrow I might have to bake something... :D

Very cute hat, by the way! :)
