"Be Mine ..." Valentine's Day Event

Hello sisters! I know I haven't posted much lately ... life is busy and I've been trying to back away from blogging a little, to focus on other things. I do have a couple of things to report, though, which I will get to later this week ...

And in the meantime:

I'm participating in the first activity of the "Be Mine ..." Valentine's Day Event over at Samantha's lovely blog "Simple Delights"! Feel free to hop over to her beautiful blog and complete this little questionnaire to get you thinking about Valentine's Day!

  1. What is your favorite part about Valentine's Day?

At the moment, in my idealistic way, I like something very specific about Valentine's Day: the notion of a man buying something beautiful and feminine for the woman he loves, to tell her how special she is to him. I really look forward to being considered special by a special man someday, so this (very narrow) aspect of Valentine's Day is something I look forward to in my future romantic endeavors.  :-)

  2. What is your favorite romantic movie?

Just one?  <:-}  Can I pick four?:  The Clock, Random Harvest, Sense and Sensibility (1995), and Pride and Prejudice (1995), which is really more of an epic than a movie.  :-)  But all of those movies make me choke up and whimper at the end for their sheer beauty ...

  3. Dark or milk chocolate?

Both! But milk chocolate is a little yummier.

  4. What is something you do to make Valentine's Day special?

Well, I admit to being a single girl who has a hard time with Valentine's Day.  *blush*  So I mostly enjoy the valentines that my little brothers give me, buy a bunch of chocolate for my mom, and maybe dress up in something pink. And daydream a lot.  :-)

  5. Which would you prefer getting as a gift for Valentine's Day, flowers or chocolates?

Flowers, for sure! A big bouquet that gets delivered to my office! Because I can (and do) buy myself chocolate any old time, but I never-ever-ever-ever get flowers!

  6. [Skipping this question because I'm not married]

  7. If you're single, what do you hope to do with your husband if you get married someday?

The thing I most look forward to, when I meet my future husband, is sharing with him all the things that are special to me, and having him share his special things with me. I want to take walks on nature trails, go to carnivals and ride rollercoasters, sit out at night and look at the stars, and have snowball fights. I want us to talk. A lot. About everything.

And specifically for Valentine's Day, I want to buy him a little stuffed animal with chocolate - one of those little bears or dogs or frogs that has "I Love You" or "Be Mine" embroidered on its tummy. I just think those are so cute!!!  :-D
Happy early Valentine's Day, everyone! Be sure to pop over and check out Samantha's blog, if you're so inclined!!

Lots of love,
Vicki
