Andy Griffith was a film and TV star, comedian, singer, and musician whom several generations of Americans grew up knowing and loving. A fixture of the American culture for half a century, he will be sorely missed.

Goodbye, Mr. Griffith, and thank you for all of the laughter, tears, fun, and joy that you brought to us all.

    Was so sad to hear this today:( Not many shows left today that is fit to watch on tv. This was a classic clean show:)
