But now it's quite late at night, and I'm tired enough that I can post. :-) How was your day? I haven't felt too well today, I'm not sure why; but I'm feeling a little better this evening after taking some medicine and resting. (My brother) John and (my sister) Heather and I are all resting and watching Davy Crockett: King of the Wild Frontier (1955). We've loved that movie ever since we were kids, and it's something nice and relaxing to watch on a peaceful Friday night. A nice little bit of Americana. :-)
Let's see, what's new ... I've been working a lot this week, but the week before, I actually had the peacefulness of mind to sit down and work on one of my old story ideas, which was wonderful! It's inspired by a story snipped that Jessica posted a while back - I can't find the exact post, but it inspired a Celtic fantasy story that is at the moment rather hackneyed, and I'm trying to make it less so. I love my characters, and I want to make sure the plot is worthy of them. Sometime I'll do a "Beautiful People" post with them, so you can meet them.
I wish I had more news to share with you, because it's been so long since I posted anything "real" (as opposed to topical diatribes and funny collections of stuff); but in reality, nothing much is new. We haven't planted a garden or anything besides flowers yet, because it's been either too cold, too dry, too hot, or too wet to plant anything; I've mostly frittered away my month of vacation before summer classes start, except for working on knitting a lovely baby blanket, which I will try to post pictures of soon. I have gotten to play a little bit of music and read a couple of good books, and I've been dieting faithfully and lost 5 pounds so far (which has taken up a considerable amount of my time and energy). I keep posting topical stuff because I want to share things with you; I just don't have much in my real life to share. :-P
So because of that, here's a verse to take with you to bed:
Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.
I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. ~ Psalm 32:7-8
Hopefully I'll have something worthwhile to post about soon!
Lots of love,
Vicki
Your posts are always encouraging Vicki! And I want to thank you for that. :D
ReplyDeleteWay to go on the weight loss! That's always great feeling to know all the dieting and excercise is paying off. And it really does take up a bit of time and hard work. :)
Thanks for sharing that verse. I'm so thankful the LORD is our hiding place, and leads us right where HE wants us, if we just follow. :D
Have a wonderful day my friend!
In Christ,
Angel
