My Father, I thank You for bringing these courageous and faithful brothers of ours safely home through this fiery trial that they have just endured. I praise You and rejoice with their families that their faith was strong enough to hold onto Your hand and leave earth in such a horrifying way, far from their families, surrounded by hatred and fear, and probably enduring pain and suffering before You took their spirits. Even after their death, they are bringing glory and honor to Your name.
May those of us who live here, in peace and safety, learn to use our safety as a gift with which to serve You and support our brothers and sisters who have been deemed worthy to die in Your name.

ReplyDeleteThis situation has been on my heart too. The BEST thing that came of this horror was knowing that they were instantly in the arms of JESUS! ISIS just helped them get there faster.
