Q: What's hot and cold and hurts all over?
A: Me - flopped in a chair and sick with a cold or the flu.
I hate being sick, especially when I have so much to do. I shuddered and chattered my way through work this morning and came straight home to sleep all afternoon, but I still woke up with a fever; so I'm huddled up in my mom's favorite squishy chair, wrapped up in a blanket, shivering and suffering through body aches, trying to do my phonetics homework and feeling like I've never seen it before in my life.
Just complaining. Sorry.
Anybody know an example of regressive assimilation of the place of articulation of an alveolar nasal?

Oh Vickie! I feel so sorry for you. Last week I broke my six year record of avoiding the stomach flu. Please do snuggle in and rest.

Oof, I know the feeling! There's nothing worse than being sick when you've got a million things to do. For me, as soon as school starts up, I'm not allowed to be sick, because when I'm sick I'm too busy wallowing in my own misery to get anything done. Because of that...usually as soon as break starts I come down with something awful. Or as soon as finals start creeping up on me.
ReplyDeleteFeel better, Vicki! I hope you're able to get some rest!
