"My Beautiful Woman"

You may have seen the "My Beautiful Woman" series before, especially if you are familiar with the pro-life movement at all; but I'm sure there are at least a few of you who haven't seen them, and so I wanted to post them here:

In the first video, an expectant mother receives devastating news that forces her to decide between her own life and the life of her unborn child; in the second video, a hard-driving business executive must face the disappointment and misunderstanding of her coworkers when she mysteriously quits work for a very important reason; and in the third video, a college student bears the weight of malicious rumors to ensure a carefree life for her preschool-age daughter.

These videos were created by Wacoal, a Japanese lingerie company that also has branches in the U.S. and other countries. Unlike what you'd expect from a lingerie manufacturer, however, these videos focus not on a woman's body, but on her spirit - all three celebrate the beautiful gift of a woman's sacrificial love and maternal instincts, whether she has her own children or not.

I'd really, really encourage you to grab a cup of coffee and a box of tissues and watch these videos. Each is only 8 minutes long; you can even watch them one at at a time, as you have opportunity. I was deeply moved by each one of them - they helped me remember that our desires as women to nurture and love children are beautiful and God-given; and as the second video shows, we don't have to have children of our own to use these maternal impulses to bless others Additionally, because each of these videos is narrated by an important man in each of the women's lives, they also helped me remember that good men still respect and value a woman who is willing to sacrifice her career, reputation, and even health to take care of her children.

If you do take a few minutes to watch the videos, please leave me a comment and let me know what you think! I'd love to hear your opinion!  :-)

Have a wonderful evening, my sisters!!

Hugs,
Vicki
